One who paid fidyah for fasting due to illness and then recovered

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The fourth question of the fatwa numbered ( 4681 )
Q4: A believing, God-fearing Syrian woman, twenty-eight years old, asked me to issue a ruling on the following: Her doctors forbade her from fasting due to a heart condition that was not expected to be cured, so she broke her fast during Ramadan and paid the fidyah (ransom payment) for each day she broke her fast immediately. Then, by Allah's will, as medicine advanced, she underwent heart valve surgery, and the operation was successful, praise be to Allah. However, she remained under observation and continuous treatment for a period of time. Now, after her health has improved and Allah has enabled her to fast last Ramadan, she asks what she should do about the days she broke her fast. Does she have to make up the fasting she missed, which is estimated at 180 days, equivalent to six consecutive years, or does paying the fidyah at that time suffice for her instead of fasting, in accordance with the saying of Allah the Exalted:
And upon those who are able [to fast, but with hardship] - a ransom [as substitute] of feeding a poor personوَعَلَى الَّذِينَ يُطِيقُونَهُ فِدْيَةٌ طَعَامُ مِسْكِينٍ
[Al-Baqarah 2:184]
? Please inform us and issue a ruling for us. May Allah reward you with the best reward for the questioner and for the Muslims.

A4: The fidyah she paid in the past for each day
she broke her fast is sufficient for her, and she is not obligated to make up those months; because she was excused and she did what was obligatory for her at that time. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
