Disagreeing with the Muslim community regarding the sighting of the moon

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa number ( 10973 )
Q1: In our town, there is a group of committed brothers who grow their beards, but they differ from us on some matters. For example, regarding fasting in Ramadan, they do not fast until they see the crescent moon with the naked eye. Sometimes we fast one or two days before them in the month of Ramadan, and they break their fast one or two days after 'Id al-Fitr.
Whenever we ask them about fasting on the day of 'Id, they say, "We do not break our fast or fast until we see the moon with the naked eye," citing the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
Observe fast on sighting it (the new moon) and break (fast) on sighting it (the new moon)صوموا لرؤيته وأفطروا لرؤيته
Sahih Muslim 1081b
However, they do not accept the confirmation of the sighting by instruments, as you know. They also disagree with us regarding the time of the two 'Id prayers, and they do not pray except after the 'Id according to their sighting. Likewise, in 'Id al-Adha, they disagree with us regarding the slaughter of the 'Id sacrifice and the standing at 'Arafah. They delay the 'Id al-Adha by two days, meaning they do not slaughter the sacrifice until all the Muslims have slaughtered theirs. They also pray in mosques that contain graves and say that it is not forbidden to pray in mosques that contain graves. May Allah reward you with good.

A1: It is obligatory for them to fast with the people, break their fast with the people, and pray the two 'Ids with the Muslims in their land, based on the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
Fast when you see it and stop fasting when you see it, and if it is obscured from you (too cloudy), then complete thirtyصوموا لرؤيته وأفطروا لرؤيته فإن غم عليكم فأكملوا العدة
Sunan an-Nasa'i 2124Sahih (Darussalam)
agreed upon by al-Bukhari and Muslim. The intended meaning of the command to fast and break the fast is when the sighting is confirmed by the naked eye or by means that assist the eye in seeing, based on the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
Fasting is the day you fast, breaking the fast is the day you break the fast, and the Festival of Sacrifice is the day you sacrifice.الصوم يوم تصومون والإفطار يوم تفطرون والأضحى يوم تضحون
.
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad and his family and companions.
