Placing henna with the deceased in the grave
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The sixth question from Fatwa number ( 6433 )
Q6: Is placing henna with the deceased in the grave part of Islam? And if it is part of Islam, what is its benefit?
A6: What the Sunnah indicates is that the deceased is washed with water and sidr, and a type of perfume called hanut is placed in his shroud. As for placing henna with the deceased in the grave, we do not know of any basis for it in the pure Shari'ah; rather, it is obligatory to leave it out. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
