Q: Does a traveler who stays in a country for three or six days, or a year, shorten the prayer or not? And likewise, is tayammum with stone permissible or not?
A: Praise be to Allah alone, and blessings and peace be upon His Messenger, his family, and his Companions.. After that: First: A traveler who intends to stay in a town for more than four days does not shorten the prayer, and if the stay is less than this duration, he shortens the prayer. Second: If he wants to perform tayammum, he performs it with pure earth; because of the saying of the Exalted:[An-Nisa 4:43] And it is the dust of the earth; because of the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): Sahih Muslim 522a narrated by Muslim. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send blessings and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.

وجعلت لنا الأرض كلها مسجدا؛ وجعلت تربتها لنا طهورًا إذا لم نجد الماء
