Q1: A husband who fulfills his religious obligations and fears Allah is afflicted with a wife who may not know how to perform ritual purity from major ritual impurity. A1: Praise be to Allah alone, and blessings and peace be upon His Messenger, his family, and his Companions. After that: It is obligatory for the husband mentioned to advise his wife and explain to her the manner of bathing from major ritual impurity, and that it is necessary to pour water over her head, even if her hair is tightly bound; for it is established from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) the hadith of Umm Salama (may Allah be pleased with her) that she said: It was narrated by the Imam Muslim in his Sahih. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send blessings and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
