A man performed the ghusl for major ritual impurity but did not pour water over his head three times; is his ghusl valid or not?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : A man performed the ghusl, meaning the ghusl for major ritual impurity, but did not pour water over his head three times; is his ghusl valid or not?

The Shaykh : Yes, the obligatory ghusl by which one is absolved of the obligation is for a person to cover his entire body with water, meaning to reach the water to his entire body, to his head and what is under the hair, and to his entire body in whatever manner, due to the saying of Allah the Exalted:
And if you are in a state of janabah, then purify yourselves وَإِنْ كُنْتُمْ جُنُبًا فَاطَّهَّرُوا
[Al-Ma'idah 5:6]
But it is better to perform the ghusl as reported from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and its description is that he washes his hands three times, then washes his private parts and what has soiled them, then performs a complete wudu', then he scoops water over his head three times until he saturates it, then he washes the rest of his body.
This is the most complete and best, but the obligatory is for the water to cover his entire body. Based on this, it becomes clear that what the questioner did is valid and that the major ritual impurity has been lifted by it. Yes.

The questioner : May Allah bless you. The listener is also from Sudan, he says.
