Q: Whatis the ruling on those who sleep during the Friday sermon and are not woken up until the iqamah?
A: Praise be to Allah alone, and blessings and peace be upon His Messenger, his family, and his Companions.. And after: Light sleep that does not cause one to lose consciousness does not invalidate the wudu'. It is established that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would sometimes delay the 'Isha' prayer until the heads of the Companions of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) would nod, and then they would pray without performing wudu'. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send blessings and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
