Q: If a person misses the Friday sermon with the imam, does he make it up just as one who misses a unit of prayer makes it up, or is there no obligation on him to make it up? We ask for your answer. Peace be upon you, and may Allah’s mercy and blessings be upon you.
A: If a worshipper attends the Friday prayer after the sermon has ended, he prays the two units of Friday prayer with the imam, and he owes nothing for the part of the sermon he missed. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
