It is not permissible to delay the prayer due to illness

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa number ( 7031 )
Q: I amill for a period of three years, and I am between the hospitals in Ha'il, Riyadh, and Madinah al-Munawwarah, and I am unable to fast and pray during some of the prayer times. Do I have to make up the fasting of the previous three years, or do I pay an expiation? And I am now in the most urgent need of your support, may you be rewarded. I ask for a prompt answer.
A: First: It is not permissible for you to delay the prayer beyond its time, and you must pray within the time according to your ability; based on the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
offer prayer in standing condition; if you are unable to do so, then in sitting condition: if you are then at your sideصل قائمًا، فإن لم تستطع فقاعدا، فإن لم تستطع فعلى جنب، فإن لم تستطع فمستلقيًا
Sunan Abi Dawud 952Sahih (Al-Albani)
And the sick person may combine the midday and afternoon prayers in the time of one of them, and the sunset and night prayers in the time of one of them. Second: The fasting that you delayed making up from Ramadan remains a debt in your obligation until Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) heals you. If you are healed, then make it up; based on His saying (Glorified and Exalted is He):
So whoever among you is ill or on a journey [during them] - then an equal number of days [are to be made up]فَمَنْ كَانَ مِنْكُمْ مَرِيضًا أَوْ عَلَى سَفَرٍ فَعِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَيَّامٍ أُخَرَ
[Al-Baqarah 2:184]
And if the illness continues with you and you become hopeless of recovery—may Allah forbid it—then feed a poor person for each day: half a sa' (a dry measure of about 3 kg) of the local staple food, which is approximately one and a half kilograms.
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his companions.
