The Ablution upon Certainty of Something Exiting
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second question of Fatwa No. ( 7789 )
Q2: When I go to perform ablution, and after I finish the ablution, I feel that something has come out of me, like urine, water, or drink — may Allah protect you — but I go back and purify myself by cleaning, and then I go to perform the prayer in the mosque or at home. When I begin the prayer, I feel that thing, so I doubt the validity of my prayer. Is it obligatory for me to repeat the prayer if I feel that, or is there an expiation for that? Please inform us, may Allah reward you?
A2: Praise be to Allah alone, and blessings and peace be upon His Messenger, his family, and his Companions... And to proceed:
If you have performed ablution, the original state is purity, and this original state is certain. Do not pay attention to any doubt or suspicion that contradicts this, such as the suspicion that something has come out of you that invalidates your ablution; for that is from Shaytan. But if you are certain that something has come out of you that invalidates the ablution, then you perform ablution. There is no difference in this between what happens before the prayer or during the prayer. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send blessings and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
