The innovation of supplication during the washing of the limbs

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The fourth question of the fatwa number ( 3377 )
Q 4: What is the supplication during wudu?
A 4: Praise be to Allah alone, and blessings and peace be upon His Messenger, his family, and his Companions.. And after: No supplication during wudu has been established from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and what the common people recite when washing each limb is a religious innovation, such as their saying when washing the face: (O Allah, whiten my face on the Day when faces are blackened), and their saying when washing the hands: (O Allah, give me my book in my right hand, and do not give me my book in my left hand), and so on of the supplications for the other limbs of wudu. Rather, it is prescribed for the one performing wudu to mention the name of Allah at the beginning of wudu; due to the hadith:
the ablution of a person who does not mention the name of Allah is validلا وضوء لمن لم يذكر اسم الله عليه
Sunan Abi Dawud 102Sahih Maqtu' (Al-Albani)
and to say when he finishes wudu:
I testify that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah Alone, there are no partners for Him. And I testify that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger. O Allah! Make me among the repentant, and make me among those who purify themselves.أشهد أن لا إله إلا الله وحده لا شريك له، وأشهد أن محمدًا عبده ورسوله، اللهم اجعلني من التوابين واجعلني من المتطهرين
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 55Da'if (Darussalam)
. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send blessings and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
