One who catches up with the imam in the first tashahhud of the Maghrib prayer
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The first question of Fatwa No. ( 9810 )
Q1: If I entered while the congregation was in the last prayer of Maghrib and I only caught up with the last rak'ah, should I stand to complete the two rak'ahs in one go, or should I separate them with a tashahhud? And should I recite al-Fatihah and whatever is easy of the Qur'an aloud, or quietly?
A1: First: You recite the first tashahhud in the first of the two rak'ahs that you make up after the imam's taslim. Second: You recite al-Fatihah and whatever is easy of the Qur'an with it aloud in the first of them, and you recite only al-Fatihah quietly in the second of them, then you perform the final tashahhud after the second of them, and then you say the taslim. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
