The prayer-catcher who catches the congregation in the last rak'ah of Maghrib

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The third question of Fatwa No. ( 18799 )
Q3: If the prayer-catcher catches the congregation in the last rak'ah of Maghrib and after the imam's taslim he stands up to complete his prayer, how does he complete it? And does he recite aloud or quietly?
A3: If the prayer-catcher catches the last rak'ah with the imam in the prayer of
Maghrib, he stands up after the imam's taslim and prays one rak'ah, reciting aloud in it, then sits for the tashahhud, and this is the first tashahhud in his case; because the sitting for tashahhud that he caught with the imam he performed following the imam, then he comes to the third rak'ah, reciting in it the al-Fatihah quietly, according to the correct of the two opinions of the scholars that what the latecomer catches with the imam is considered the beginning of his prayer, and what he completes after his imam's salam is considered the end of his prayer, then after that he sits for the final tashahhud, then he says the salam. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
