The ruling on praying over the deceased after burial

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q: What is the ruling on praying over the funeral after it has been buried? And is it limited to one month?

A: The ruling on praying over the funeral after it has been buried is a recommended practice (sunnah); because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) prayed over it after burial. The one who did not attend the prayer over it should pray over it after burial, and even the one who already prayed over it is not prevented from repeating the prayer over it with the other worshippers, and there is no blame in that, even if he prays over it two or three times with those who are praying over it because they missed the prayer over it. The well-known view among the scholars is that it is valid for approximately one month.
