How to perform the funeral prayer for the deceased in the grave

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
After this, a letter from its sender, a resident of the Kingdom, asks Your Eminence, saying: How did the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) pray for the woman who used to clean the mosque after she was buried? Did he place the grave in front of him, as the funeral is placed?
May Allah reward you with good.

Answer:
Yes, he prayed for her just as he prays for funerals. He placed her in front of him and prayed opposite her middle, and he supplicated for her, just like the funeral prayer, exactly the same. The deceased is prayed for before burial, and after burial. If he was not prayed for before burial, he is prayed for after burial. So the man is stopped at his head, and the woman at her middle, as if she were exposed on the surface of the earth. And thus the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did with the servant who used to clean the mosque; he prayed over her grave—(peace and blessings be upon him)—yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good, and may He do you good.
