Q3: Is the funeral prayer performed for a child whose parents are both disbelievers, and is it performed for a child born of zina? What is the evidence for both?
A3: The funeral prayer is not performed for a child whose parents are both disbelievers. As for the child born of zina, the funeral prayer is performed for him if his mother is Muslim, and he bears no sin for what the fornicator and the fornicatrix committed.
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his companions.
