Q7: The Islamic Association rents a large hall to hold the festival prayer. Is it permissible for a congregation located approximately thirty miles from the hall to hold the festival prayer in their mosque? It is known that transportation is available. Is it better for the hall to gather most of the Muslims for the festival prayer instead of them praying in multiple congregations?
A7: If you can gather together, that is better. If it is difficult for them, there is no harm in them praying in their town, which is thirty miles or so from the place where the festival prayer is held, if gathering together is difficult. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
