Ruling on Delaying Prayer for the Sake of Study

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
A listener, Salam Ali Muhammad from Iraq, says: I am a student, and my studies begin after the midday prayer and end after the sunset prayer. Consequently, I miss the afternoon prayer, and I am forced to make it up after I return, knowing that this situation repeats daily. Is what I am doing correct?

Answer:
That is not permissible for you. Rather, it is obligatory for you to pray the prayer in its time. You must pray the afternoon prayer in its time at the place of study. It is not permissible for you to delay it until the sunset prayer, or until the sun sets. Rather, you must pray the prayer in its time and leave the work, whether the work is study or something else. Yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good, and may He do you good.
