Teaching Children

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The tenth question of Fatwa No. (6261)
Q10: Is it permissible for us to teach children the Noble Qur'an, some of the hadiths, and arithmetic, and to encourage them to perform acts of obedience and avoid what is wrong?
A10: The child is a trust in the neck of his guardian, who must guide him to what is in the interest of his religion and worldly life, such as teaching knowledge and good manners. This includes teaching them the Qur'an and hadiths, as well as teaching them arithmetic. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
