Taking a fee for teaching children the Qur'an
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second question of fatwa number ( 14586 )
Q 2: We work at al-Sahara School, and we teach children the Qur'an in exchange for a fee for each child. Is my work permissible, and is it permissible to take a fee for the Noble Qur'an, and of course for other academic subjects such as mathematics and history? I teach the children the Qur'an without the art of tajwid—I mean, with ordinary recitation. Is that permissible, and what do you advise us?
A 2 : Taking a fee for teaching the Noble Qur'an and teaching some of the subjects the student needs is permissible. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
