Her mother prevented him from teaching the children the Qur'an

The second question of Fatwa number ( 13405 )
Q 2: I engaged in teaching memorization in a mosque and invited the fathers of the children to bring their sons to memorize the Book of Allah. This actually happened, but what occurred was that my mother said to me, "What is it to you and to the people? Pray your prayer and rely on Allah. Leave the children of people whom you have gathered; you have no authority over them." I explained to her the importance of this Book and the reward that comes from it. She said, "No, what do you want with the children when you are older than them? The group is laughing at you, saying: 'We found him sitting in the mosque with so-and-so's and so-and-so's children,' or as she put it. What should I do in this matter? Please advise us, may Allah reward you with good.
A 2 : Your engagement in teaching the Book of Allah (Exalted and Majestic is He) to the children in the mosque is a good deed, and you are to be thanked for it. It is established that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
The best among you is he who learns and teaches the Qur'an.خيركم من تعلم القرآن وعلمه
Sunan Abi Dawud 1452Sahih (Al-Albani)
So, continue in your teaching of the children, have a good intention, and convince your mother with kind words and gentle logic regarding the benefit of the work you are doing.
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
