The adhan without the imam's permission
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second question of fatwa number ( 7339 )
Q2: Is it permissible for the mu'adhdhin to call the adhan without the imam's permission?
A2: It is permissible for him to call the adhan without the imam's permission; because he has more authority over the adhan, and because the criterion in that is the mu'adhdhin's knowledge of the entry of the time, whether he knows it by himself or by the statement of someone present with him, even if the imam is not among them, and because there is no evidence that the adhan is contingent upon the imam's permission.
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his companions.
