The postpartum woman may become pure before the forty days

The fourth question of the fatwa numbered (4514)
Q4: If the postpartum bleeding stops before forty days, is it permissible for the woman to perform the full ritual bath and pray, even if it returns again before the forty days ?
A4: Praise be to Allah alone, and may peace and blessings be upon His Messenger, his family, and his Companions. And to proceed: If the postpartum woman sees purity before the completion of the forty days, she performs the full ritual bath, prays, and fasts, and her husband may have intercourse with her. If the bleeding continues with her after the forty days, she is considered to be in the state of a pure woman; because the forty days are the end of the postpartum period according to the most correct of the scholars' opinions, and the blood with her after the forty days is considered blood of corruption, and its ruling is the ruling of irregular non-menstrual bleeding, unless it coincides with her usual period, in which case she considers it menstruation for which she leaves off prayer and fasting, and it is forbidden for her husband to have intercourse with her. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
