If a woman in postpartum bleeding becomes pure before forty days, does she fast and pray?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question: If a woman in postpartum bleeding becomes pure before forty days, does she fast and pray or not? And if menstruation comes to her after that, does she break her fast? And if she becomes pure a second time, does she fast and pray or not?

Answer: If a woman in postpartum bleeding becomes pure before the completion of forty days, it is obligatory for her to perform the full ritual bath, pray, and fast in Ramadan, and she becomes lawful to her husband. If the blood returns to her within the forty days, it is obligatory for her to leave off prayer and fasting, and she becomes forbidden to her husband according to the more correct of the two opinions of the scholars, and she is in the ruling of a woman in postpartum bleeding until she becomes pure or completes the forty days. If she becomes pure before the forty days or at the end of the forty days, she performs the full ritual bath, fasts, and becomes lawful to her husband. If the blood continues with her after the forty days, it is blood of corruption for which she does not leave off prayer or fasting; she fasts in Ramadan and becomes lawful to her husband like a woman with irregular non-menstrual bleeding. It is obligatory for her to clean herself after relieving herself and to protect herself with what lightens the blood for her, such as cotton and the like, and to perform the ablution for the time of every prayer; because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered the woman with irregular non-menstrual bleeding to do so, except if her monthly period—meaning menstruation—comes to her, in which case she leaves off prayer.
