Q: II live in the desert, and the water is sometimes about eighty kilometers away from us, and sometimes less or more. Knowing that we water our livestock from the water, whether it is far from us or near, is it permissible for us to perform dry ablution (tayammum) when the water is far away or near?
A: Praise be to Allah alone, and blessings and peace be upon His Messenger, his family, and his Companions. After that: If the situation is as you described, that you bring water to your place of residence, and it is necessary for the sake of the livestock, then it is not permissible for you to perform dry ablution because the water is actually present with you, even if you brought it from a distant place for your livestock. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send blessings and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
