Tayammum is obligatory for both women and men

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The first question of Fatwa number ( 5921 )
Q1: Is tayammum obligatory for women as it is for men, or is it specific to men and not women in the case of the absence of water for prayer?
A1: Praise be to Allah alone, and peace and blessings be upon His Messenger, his family, and his Companions.. And after: The principle in rulings is that they apply generally to both men and women, except where an exception has been made for one of them, based on the saying of Allah the Exalted:
O you who have believed, when you rise to [perform] prayer, wash your faces and your forearms to the elbows and wipe over your heads and wash your feet to the ankles. And if you are in a state of janabah, then purify yourselves. But if you are ill or on a journey or one of you comes from the place of relieving himself or you have contacted women and do not find water, then seek clean earth and wipe over your faces and hands with it. Allah does not intend to make difficulty for you, but He intends to purify you and complete His favor upon you that you may be grateful.
[Al-Ma'idah 5:6]
, so the command for tayammum in the verse is general for men
and women, and they are equal in its ruling, so tayammum is prescribed for women just as it is for men, by the consensus of the scholars. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
