Allah, Mighty and Majestic, says: [Al-Ma'idah: 6] So He commanded us to perform wudu' from minor ritual impurity and to purify ourselves from major ritual impurity when we stand for prayer. If we do not find [water], we perform tayammum. It is permissible for one who does not have water when the time for prayer enters to perform tayammum,But the scholars (may Allah have mercy on them) said: if he is likely to find water before the time expires, it is better to delay the tayammum until he reaches the water.
