A1: This hadith was narrated by Imam Ahmad , al-Tirmidhi , Ibn Majah , Ibn Khuzaymah , Ibn Hibban , al-Hakim , and al-Bayhaqi , from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). Al-Tirmidhi said of it: "Hasan Gharib" (good and unique). Al-Hakim said: "Its chain is authentic and Egyptian." Al-Dhahabi criticized him, stating that it contains Daraj ibn Sam'an , who is known for many denounced narrations. Maghultay said in [Sharh Sunan Ibn Majah ]: "The hadith is weak." Al-Suyuti indicated its authenticity with symbols in his book [al-Jami' al-Saghir]. Imam Ahmad said: "Daraj's hadith is denounced." And
al-Daraqutni said in one place: "Daraj is weak," and in another: "Daraj is abandoned." He is weaker in his narration from Abu al-Haytham than in his narration from others.
