Fatwa No. ( 3303 ):
Q: What is the ruling on saying (May Allah be truthful, the Great) after finishing the recitation of the Qur'an?
A: Saying (May Allah be truthful, the Great) after finishing the recitation of the Qur'an
is a religious innovation (bid'ah); because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not do it, nor did the Rightly Guided Caliphs, nor the rest of the Companions (may Allah be pleased with them), nor the imams of the Salaf (may Allah have mercy on them), despite their frequent recitation of the Qur'an and their care for and knowledge of its affairs. Thus, saying it and adhering to it after recitation is an invented innovation. It is established from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said:Sahih Muslim 1718a narrated by al-Bukhari and Muslim, and he said: Sahih Muslim 1718b narrated by Muslim . And success is from Allah. And may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.

من عمل عملاً ليس عليه أمرنا فهو رد
