A3: It is not permissible to make images of living beings or to hang them in mosques or other places, such as residences; due to the generality of the evidence prohibiting images. Al-Bukhari and Muslim narrated in their Sahihs, and Al-Nasa'i narrated from Abdullah ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Indeed,
Sunan an-Nasa'i 5362Sahih (Darussalam) , and Al-Tirmidhi narrated from Jabir ibn Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both) who said: , and in the Sahih of Muslim , from Ali (may Allah be pleased with him), that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: Riyad as-Salihin 1687 . As for the prayer in a mosque that contains images, it is valid, and it is obligatory to advise the people in charge of the mosque to remove the images from it. And success is from Allah. And may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
