Going to one who commits acts of shirk (associating partners with Allah), such as supplicating to the people of the graves and seeking aid from them

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second question of Fatwa No. ( 7324 ):
Q2: A man fell severely ill, and his illness intensified. He went to all the doctors, but Allah did not decree healing for this man through these doctors. Then he went to a man who seeks nearness to Allah, calls for aid, and seeks blessing from the people of the graves, and Allah decreed healing for him through this one who seeks nearness and seeks aid. Is it permissible to go to this man? This incident has occurred several times, and people have taken it as a lesson, and it has become established in their minds that he heals people by what he does of acts of associating partners with Allah, may Allah protect us from that. What is the ruling of the religion in this matter?
A2: It is forbidden to go to one who commits acts of shirk (associating partners with Allah), such as supplicating to the people of the graves and seeking aid from them, in order to seek healing through his supplication, ruqyah (healing by Qur'anic recitation), or the like. Even if some people benefit from it, because that may coincide with the divine decree, so they think it is due to this person. Also, his illness may be from the works of the jinn, so they entice him to ask these polytheists and go to them; if he asks them, they cease to harm him. And success is from Allah. And may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
