The permissibility of the slaughter of a mushrik (one who associates partners with Allah) who commits major shirk (associating partners with Allah) by mentioning the name of Allah over it
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q7: Who permits the slaughter of a mushrik (one who associates partners with Allah) while arguing with the saying of Allah the Exalted: [Al-An'am 6:118], and saying that this verse does not need interpretation, and he remains upon this verse and has not heard the opinion of anyone after; does he become a disbeliever?
A7: Whoever permits the slaughter of a mushrik (one who associates partners with Allah) who commits major shirk (associating partners with Allah) by mentioning the name of Allah over it is mistaken, but he is not a disbeliever due to the presence of shubhah (a doubtful matter), and he has no proof in the verse; because its generality is specified by ijma' (scholarly consensus) on the prohibition of the slaughter of a mushrik (one who associates partners with Allah), and it is obligatory for one who is capable of explanation and knows this to guide him. And success is from Allah. And may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
So eat of that [meat] upon which the name of Allah has been mentioned, if you are believers in His verses.
