The ruling on eating a slaughtered animal on which the name of Allah was not mentioned

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
A message was received by the program from one of the listening brothers, Jihad Jamil al-Sura'awi, who asks a number of questions, among which is this question. He says: There has been a disagreement among us regarding the issue of whether a person who wants to slaughter a sheep should say "In the name of Allah" or not? And if he does not say it, is his slaughter permissible?

Answer:
It is obligatory to mention the name of Allah; because Allah commanded the mention of His name. So it is obligatory to mention Allah when slaughtering, saying: "In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate," or "In the name of Allah," and that is sufficient. If he intentionally leaves it out while knowing the legal ruling, the slaughtered animal is not lawful. But if he leaves it out out of forgetfulness, or ignorance, the slaughtered animal is lawful. As for if he leaves it out intentionally while knowing the legal ruling, the slaughtered animal is not lawful according to the more correct of the two opinions of the scholars; because the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) commanded whoever wants to slaughter or hunt to mention the name of Allah. Yes.

The presenter : May Allah reward you with good.
