Q1: Is it permissible to eat the meat that is slaughtered for the Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) birthday and other birthdays?
A1: What is slaughtered for the birthday of a prophet or a close friend of Allah (wali) out of reverence for him is what is slaughtered for other than Allah, and that is shirk (associating partners with Allah). Therefore, it is not permissible to eat from it. It is established that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:Sahih Muslim 1978b . And success is from Allah. May Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
