Some of the innovations in the celebration of the Mawlid

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa number ( 6378 ):
Q: You have asked me to describe the type of religious innovation (bid'ah) that has been introduced in the mosques on the occasion of the Prophet's birthday, so I say, and success is from Allah: The innovations in the mosques are numerous, among them: holding celebrations in them without regard for the worshippers and those reciting the noble Book of Allah, while raising their voices; and among them: reciting a poem after the prayer, where the people wait for the imam's takbir, but the reciter says: "O Allah, send blessings and peace upon my beloved Muhammad (peace be upon him)." The people then say the same as him in unison. The reciter then says: "O Allah, make our affairs easy through the life of Muhammad (peace be upon him)." This poem takes approximately 7 minutes to recite. If someone from the people of the Sunnah says: "Leave this innovation," they are answered by saying that he is a Wahhabi who denies sending blessings upon the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). And among them: the people standing up after leaving the Fajr prayer and greeting one another, supplicating to Allah together
one by one, and this last practice is specific to a mosque called al-Qubba in a district of the city, and among them: burying those they revere in the mosque, usually facing the qiblah and close to it, and other such things. May Allah guide us and you to what brings Him pleasure. Amen.

A: First: All the innovations mentioned in the question are not permissible to do. It is established from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said:
'A'isha reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: He who innovates things in our affairs for which there is no valid (reason) (commits sin) and these are to be rejected.من أحدث في أمرنا هذا ما ليس منه فهو رد
Sahih Muslim 1718a
. Second: It is not permissible to bury the dead in mosques, due to his saying (peace and blessings be upon him):
Allah cursed the Jews and the Christians that they took the graves of their prophets as mosquesلعن الله اليهود والنصارى اتخذوا قبور أنبيائهم مساجد
Sahih Muslim 529
It is agreed upon that it is authentic. And success is from Allah. And may Allah send blessings and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his companions.
