The tenth question of the fatwa numbered ( 5741 ):
Q10: If one takes a mushrik (one who associates partners with Allah) to one of the shrines for circumambulation, or to attend a wedding feast, is he a mushrik, or has he committed a sin without his consent, given that the one going to the shrine is his father or mother, and if he refuses, one of them becomes angry?
A10: It is not permissible for a person to take anyone to one of the shrines for circumambulation around it, or to attend a wedding feast held for the sake of the shrine. If he does so, he has committed a sin, because this is cooperation in sin and aggression. The fact that the one who wants to go is his father or mother does not make it permissible for him to do so. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:Mishkat al-Masabih 3696 . And success is from Allah. And may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
