The Prayer over a Fortune-Teller Who Dies in His State
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The third question of Fatwa No. ( 3686 ):
Q3: If a fortune-teller or diviner dies, is the funeral prayer performed over him if he used to pray, or not?
A3: If a fortune-teller or diviner dies while still in their known state
of claiming knowledge of the unseen, then the funeral prayer is not performed over them, even if they used to pray; because their claim of knowledge of the unseen is major shirk (associating partners with Allah), which invalidates the prayer and other acts of worship. And success is from Allah. And may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
