The ruling on adhering to the daily recitations of the Qadiyyah and Tijaniyyah, and the ruling on the book *Dala'il al-Khayrat*

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The fifth question of Fatwa No. ( 2392 ):
Q5: What is the ruling on the daily recitations of the awliya (close friends of Allah) and the righteous, such as the school of the Qadiyyah and the Tijaniyyah and others? Is it permissible to adhere to them or not? And what is the ruling on the book [Dala'il al-Khayrat] ?
A5: First: The Book and the Sunnah contain texts that include the prescribed supplications and remembrances, and some scholars have compiled a collection of these: such as al-Nawawi in his book [Al-Adhkar], and Ibn al-Sunni in [Amal al-Yawm wa al-Laylah], and Ibn al-Qayyim in his book [Al-Wabil al-Sayb]. The books of the Sunnah contain specific chapters for supplications and remembrances, so you should refer to them. Second: The righteous awliya (close friends of Allah) are the awliya of Allah who follow His Shari'ah in speech, action, and belief. As for the misguided sects like the Tijaniyyah, they are not among the awliya of Allah; rather, they are among the awliya of Satan. We advise you to read the book [Al-Furqan
between the Awliya of al-Rahman and the Awliya of Satan], and the book [Iqtida' al-Sirat al-Mustaqim li-Mukhalafat Ahl al-Jahim], both by the Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah . Third: From what has preceded, it is clear that it is not permissible for a Muslim to take their daily recitations and make them his own; rather, he must suffice with what is prescribed, which is what is found in the Book and the Sunnah. Fourth: As for the book [Dala'il al-Khayrat], we advise you to abandon it because of the religious innovations and acts of shirk (associating partners with Allah) it contains. What is found in the Qur'an and the Sunnah is sufficient for you. And success is from Allah. May Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
