The questioner : And the last question: A person entered the mosque at the time of the midday prayer before the obligatory prayer was called for. Our brother intended four units, naturally as voluntary prayer, combining in his intention two units as the greeting of the mosque and two units as the pre-midday recommended practice. Does this suffice for him as the four units before the midday prayer, as mentioned in the hadith:
Whoever prays four units before the first prayer, to the end of it. من صلى قبل الأولى أربعاً إلى آخره
.

The Shaykh : Yes, it suffices for him.

The questioner : What Allah willed, and may Allah reward you with good.

The Shaykh : And may the same be for you, if Allah wills.

The questioner : Peace be upon you.

The Shaykh : Peace and mercy of Allah be upon you.
