The questioner : The questioner says, honorableThe Shaykh : My mother sleeps through the Fajr prayer, and I leave before the adhan, so I cannot wake them up for prayer, neither her nor my brothers, so she does not pray. Is it permissible for me to pour water on her, or to pull the sheet she covers herself with? And is this contrary to dutifulness to the parents?

The Shaykh : First: I advise this questioner not to leave for the mosque before the adhan, as long as those in the house need him, he should not leave and should remain until the adhan is called, then he should wake them up. He should use all the methods by which waking them up is achieved, but without causing disturbance. If he pours water on the face of the mother, it will certainly disturb her. But if he pulls the sheet from her gently and softly, that does no harm. The important thing is that we advise him not to go ahead to the mosque. Rather, he should be patient until the adhan is called and wake his mother and his brothers, and he is doing good. Yes. What? It does not contradict [dutifulness]. The mu'adhdhin. He goes to call the adhan and returns and wakes them up.

The Shaykh : Last question. Last question.

The questioner : May Allah reward the honorableThe Shaykh : We hope that you, may Allah honor you, will clarify to us when the schedule for your summer lessons is, before we part ways, and it would be desirable if we could suggest, not impose, upon your honor that the announcement be made early, so that we can convey it to our brothers outside this town. The students of knowledge are asking and looking forward to it, but they need to know this before they commit to other courses. May Allah reward us with the best reward for you.

The Shaykh : Yes. It is our custom: that after the exams are finished, we remain for a full week on vacation. Then we resume the studies, if Allah wills, this is the custom. And if Allah wills, we are following the custom, unless there is a reason that prevents it, otherwise we are following the custom. There is also a pamphlet that will be distributed now.
The student: In the call to Islam, in cooperation, in al-Mudhnab, it is said that with the help of Allah, His Eminence Shaykh Ibrahim ibn Abdullah al-Du'aysh will deliver a lecture titled "A Tear of the Repentant." And that is on Saturday, corresponding to 21/02, at the al-Jamal Mosque in the al-Mudhnab Governorate.
May Allah reward His Eminence the Shaykh with the best reward for us, and benefit us with his knowledge, and let him enjoy his life in obedience to Him. And all praise is due to Allah, Lord of the worlds.
