And an explanation of the meaning of intercession.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : So, intercession in language, in the hadiths, and in the Qur'an
Who is it that can intercede with Him except by His permission?
[Al-Baqarah 2:255]
this intercession does not go beyond this meaning. Therefore, the intercession on the Day of Resurrection, as you know, has types, the most important of which is the Praiseworthy Station that the Messenger (peace be upon him) was promised in the saying of Allah the Exalted:
it is expected that your Lord will resurrect you to a praised station.
[Al-Isra 17:79]
The Praiseworthy Station is the greatest intercession, and it is
When the distress becomes severe for the people of the gathering, a delegation from them goes to the father of mankind, Adam (peace and blessings be upon him), and asks him to supplicate to Allah. They ask him for intercession, and he says: "Myself, myself. I was forbidden to eat from the tree, but I ate from it."
The hadith is well known: they came to Ibrahim, to Nuh, to Musa, and to 'Isa, and each of them excused himself for a mistake he had made, except 'Isa (peace be upon him), but even he referred the matter to the one to whom this true promise was made, Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), where he says:
Go to Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), for Allah has forgiven him what came before of his sin and what came after. So they go to him (may Allah's prayers and peace be upon him), and he says: "I am for it, I am for it."
He (peace be upon him) said, and here is the point:
So I go and prostrate under the Throne and praise Him with praises
I will not mention them now.
intercede, for your intercession will be accepted, and ask (for anything). for you will be given.
Sahih al-Bukhari 3340
This intercession is also a supplication for this gathering of all humanity, from the day our Lord created Adam until the Hour stands. They will gather on a single plain, and their distress will become severe, and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) will intercede for them by hastening their reckoning. This is the greatest intercession, which is the Praiseworthy Station.
The summary of this hadith is:
The Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
There is no one who dies and a community, meaning a group of Muslims, reaches one hundred who pray over him
In the other narration:
And those above that number, all of them intercede for him
They intercede for him, meaning they supplicate for him.
Unless they intercede for him إلا شفعوا فيه

This is the first point I wanted to draw attention to, which is understanding the meaning of intercession in the Arabic language in this hadith and in other texts of the Shari'ah, whether in the Book or the Sunnah.
