Chapter "The Chapter on a Man's Spending on His Slave and Servant Being Charity" Explanation of the Hadith of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : We seek refuge in Allah from the evils of our souls and from the badness of our deeds. Whom Allah guides, no one can mislead, and whom He causes to go astray, no one can guide. And I bear witness that there is no god but Allah alone, with no partner, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and His messenger
O you who have believed, fear Allah as He should be feared and do not die except as Muslims [in submission to Him].
[Ali 'Imran 3:102]
.
O mankind, fear your Lord, who created you from one soul and created from it its mate and dispersed from both of them many men and women. And fear Allah, through whom you ask one another, and the wombs. Indeed Allah is ever, over you, an Observer.
[An-Nisa 4:1]
.
(70) O you who have believed, fear Allah and speak words of appropriate justice. (71) He will [then] amend for you your deeds and forgive you your sins. And whoever obeys Allah and His Messenger has certainly attained a great attainment.
[Al-Ahzab 33:70-71]
.
As for what follows:
For the best of speech is the speech of Allah, and the best of guidance is the guidance of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), and the worst of matters are their newly invented ones, and every newly invented matter is a religious innovation, and every religious innovation is misguidance, and every misguidance is in the Fire.
Our previous lesson reached Chapter One Hundred.
Chapter "When He Dislikes Eating with His Slave".
The student: Uncle, in the hadith before this

The Shaykh : before Him
The student: Yes

The Shaykh : Yes, that is correct. The last hadith of Chapter Ninety-Nine remains: "The Chapter on a Man's Spending on His Slave and Servant Being Charity"
And it is what he narrated with his sound chain.
From Abu Hurayrah, who said:
The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, commanded sadaqa. A man said, 'I have a dinar.' He said, 'Spend it on yourself.' He said, 'I have another.' He said, 'Spend it on your wife.' He said, 'I have another.' He said, 'Spend it on your servant and then on whomever you see fit.'
Al-Adab Al-Mufrad 197
.
This hadith is like an explanation of a hadith that passed before, also from Abu Hurayrah, in the wording
Begin with yourself, then with those in your care.
. So here he explains this hadith in a real story, and that was when the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) commanded charity, so one of those present said
I have a dinar, so he (peace be upon him) said to him, "Spend it on yourself."
. This means
Begin with yourself, then with those in your care.
He said, 'I have another.' He said, 'Spend it on your wife.' He said, 'I have another.' He said, 'Spend it on your servant and then on whomever you see fit.'
Al-Adab Al-Mufrad 197
, meaning I know and am aware of spending the rest of what may be with you of dirhams.
So the hadith is a real-world clarification of his (peace and blessings be upon him) previous statement:
Begin with yourself, then with those in your care.
.
