The Shaykh : The one hundred and third: "Chapter: When the slave advises his master"

The Shaykh :"When the slave advises his master"
Imam al-Bukhari narrates in his book al-Adab al-Mufrad with a sound chain.
From Abu Musa, who is al-Ash'ari, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
The slave who is excellent in the worship of his Lord and fulfils the duties of obedience and counsel which he owes to his master, has two rewards. المملوك الذي يحسن عبادة ربه ويؤدي إلى سيده الذي فرض عليه من الطاعة والنصيحة له أجران
Al-Adab Al-Mufrad 204
.
This is like the previous hadiths in the last lesson, explaining the virtue of the slave who fulfills the obligation of obeying Allah (Mighty and Majestic) on one hand, and obeying his master on the other hand, so he has two rewards.
It appears from this hadith that the slave is successful with Allah (Mighty and Majestic) simply by fulfilling the obligation of the two obediences: obeying Allah on one hand, and obeying the master on the other hand. Therefore, it will come in some of the following hadiths shortly that Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), because of this ease in the slave's success, wished to be a slave. Abu Hurayrah, who was free, wished to be a slave because he would be free to devote himself to obedience: obeying Allah (Mighty and Majestic) on one hand, and being sincere in obedience to his master on the other hand.
So, this hadith benefits us by showing that the slave's process of success is easy, unlike the master. Therefore, the free master, Abu Hurayrah, as will come shortly, wished to be a slave, were it not that he has obligations upon him.
The second hadith is another narration by Imam al-Bukhari from the hadith of Abu Burdah from his father, who is Abu Musa al-Ash'ari himself in the previous hadith. He said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
The slave has two rewards when he carries out Allah's due in worship (or he said that he is excellent in his worship) and the right of his owner who owns him. المملوك له أجران إذا أدى حق الله في عبادته أو قال في حسن عبادته وحق مليكه الذي يملكه
Al-Adab Al-Mufrad 205
.
