The Shaykh : Following this is another hadith, and its chain of narration is also authentic. It is narrated from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), who said: Al-Adab Al-Mufrad 313.
It is well known that the one with two faces is the one who comes to this group with one face and to that group with another. He is a hypocrite and a flatterer. It is said of him that he is like water that takes on the color of every vessel. He is with this group in their falsehood and misguidance, appearing to be with them, and he is with that group in their guidance and righteousness. So you do not know whether he is truly with this group or that group. This is the one with two faces. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: It is not fitting for him to be a trustworthy person among people. The term "trustworthy" here is in its broader sense. It is not fitting for him to be trustworthy regarding the morals of people, it is not fitting for him to be trustworthy regarding the wealth of people, and it is even more fitting that he not be trustworthy regarding the first and the second.
A person who is two-faced cannot be trusted.
