Among the characteristics of Ramadan: the revelation of the Qur'an in it.

The Shaykh : The Muslims today are welcoming the month of Ramadan. What is this month? This month has many advantages over the other months:
Among them is that Allah the Exalted revealed the Qur'an in it:[Al-Baqarah 2:185] Allah revealed this Qur'an on the Night of Decree. This Noble Qur'an—my brothers—whose speech is it? Whose speech is it? It is the speech of Allah (Mighty and Majestic); He spoke it in reality, and Jibril received it from Allah (Mighty and Majestic), and it was revealed to the heart of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family), and the Muslims transmitted it from generation to generation, the young from the old, until it reached us—praise be to Allah—neither diminished nor increased. This Qur'an also has characteristics.
Among them is that it is the speech of Allah, and no one is able to bring forth anything like it, nor ten chapters like it, nor one chapter like it, nor any report like it. Allah (Mighty and Majestic) said:[Al-Isra 17:88]. And the meaning of is: supporting. And He (Mighty and Majestic) said: [Hud 11:13]. And He (Mighty and Majestic) said: . And He (Mighty and Majestic) said: [At-Tur 52:34]. Even if it were less than a verse, but no one is able to do it.
And among the characteristics of the Noble Qur'an is that it is not permissible for one in a state of major ritual impurity to read it until he performs the full ritual bath. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) was the most eager of people to recite the Qur'an, yet nothing prevented him from reciting it to them except major ritual impurity.
And among them is that it is not permissible to touch the mushaf or any paper containing the Qur'an except with the ablution for prayer, based on the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family):Muwatta Malik 15:1. And among them is that a menstruating woman does not read the Qur'an except out of need. Need is like the regular recitations, such as the Verse of the Throne, the last two verses of Surat al-Baqarah, "Say, He is Allah, the One," the chapters of protection, and other regular recitations that have been reported. And among the needs is that she fears forgetting it, so she reads it, and there is no harm in that. And among the needs is that she is a teacher teaching the Qur'an, even if she is menstruating, and there is no harm in that. And among the needs is that she is a student listening to her teacher reciting the Qur'an, because this is a need, and there is no harm in that.
And among them—meaning, among the characteristics of the Qur'an—is that one letter from it is a good deed, and a good deed is multiplied tenfold. For example, if you say:[Al-Fatihah 1:4], [Al-Fatihah 1:4] How many letters are there? There are four, containing four good deeds, each good deed multiplied tenfold, so the total is forty good deeds. In what speech is this reward obtained? It is not obtained except in the Noble Qur'an.
And among them is that the Qur'an softens the heart, even if it is hard; it softens hard hearts. The evidence for this is the saying of Allah the Exalted:[Al-Hashr 59:21]. And it is the mountain. And regarding this, Ibn 'Abd al-Qawi (may Allah have mercy on him) says:
"And guard the lesson of the Qur'an, for it *** softens a hard heart like a rock".
We ask Allah the Exalted to soften our hearts with the Noble Qur'an.
Among them is that Allah the Exalted revealed the Qur'an in it:
a guidance for the people and clear proofs of guidance and criterion
Among them is that it is the speech of Allah, and no one is able to bring forth anything like it, nor ten chapters like it, nor one chapter like it, nor any report like it. Allah (Mighty and Majestic) said:
Say, "If mankind and the jinn gathered in order to produce the like of this Qur'an, they could not produce the like of it, even if they were to each other assistants."
Or do they say, "He invented it"? Say, "Then bring ten surahs like it that have been invented
Or do they say: "He fabricated it"? Say: "Then bring a chapter like it"
Then let them produce a statement like it
And among the characteristics of the Noble Qur'an is that it is not permissible for one in a state of major ritual impurity to read it until he performs the full ritual bath. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) was the most eager of people to recite the Qur'an, yet nothing prevented him from reciting it to them except major ritual impurity.
And among them is that it is not permissible to touch the mushaf or any paper containing the Qur'an except with the ablution for prayer, based on the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family):
no-one should touch the Qur'an unless he was pure
And among them—meaning, among the characteristics of the Qur'an—is that one letter from it is a good deed, and a good deed is multiplied tenfold. For example, if you say:
Sovereign of the Day of Recompense.
Sovereign of the Day of Recompense.
Owner
مالكOwner
مالكAnd among them is that the Qur'an softens the heart, even if it is hard; it softens hard hearts. The evidence for this is the saying of Allah the Exalted:
If We had sent down this Qur'an upon a mountain, you would have seen it humbled and coming apart from fear of Allah
And guard the lesson of the Qur'an, for it *** softens a hard heart like a rock".
We ask Allah the Exalted to soften our hearts with the Noble Qur'an.
