The Shaykh : Khushu' in prayer is the presence of the heart. What helps achieve this is what the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) guided us to, when it was reported to him that a man is visited by Shaytan, who whispers to him during his prayer and prevents him from completing it. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) commanded the man to spit to his left three times and seek refuge in Allah from the accursed Shaytan. This is one of the most beneficial remedies. Also, a person should realize the greatness of the One before whom he is standing, who is Allah (Mighty and Majestic), and focus on his prayer, reflecting on the words of Allah he recites, the dhikr he says, and the actions and movements he performs, until the greatness of the prayer becomes clear to him. At that point, these whispers will disappear from him. Try this. If you continue with the whispers, going from one to another, you will not be cured of this ailment.
