Explaining the obligation upon the servants today, which is striving for salvation from the punishment of Allah, and explaining that one should not be deluded by the mere utterance of: There is no god but Allah.

The Shaykh : But what is it that the Muslim should strive for with earnest effort and exert himself in with utmost diligence? Is it only to be saved from eternal abode in the Fire, whatever that duration in the Fire may be? Or is it to be saved from entering the Fire as an entry of punishment, but rather an entry of passing through, as is the description of those who feared Allah, as we mentioned in the previous verse? There is no doubt that it is obligatory upon us to strive to save ourselves from entering the Fire such that it touches us with any of its punishment. We must strive for salvation from the Fire touching us with punishment. So what is the way to that? The way to that, as you all know, is to establish this testimony, to establish the action in accordance with its requirements, as he (peace and blessings be upon him) indicated in the mass-transmitted hadith: Sahih Muslim 22.
In the hadith, there are two very important matters:
The first is that this testimony saves its owner, or at least saves its utterer, from the punishment of this world; that is, from being killed.Sunan an-Nasa'i 3983Sahih (Darussalam). To the end of the hadith. Some people may say this good word not from the heart and with sincerity, but rather in order to escape and be freed from what may befall them of a tax—for example—in the language of the present age, which is the jizyah in the language of the wise Shari'ah. So, to be free from that, one of them says: There is no god but Allah, and the apparent Islamic rulings are applied to him. He (peace and blessings be upon him) indicated this reality by saying:
As for the one who wants salvation in the Hereafter as well, and not just in this world, he must fulfill its right. And its right, as you know, is to act in accordance with all the rulings of the Shari'ah, and especially among them, the five pillars.
What concerns me here is to draw attention to all the rulings of the Shari'ah; because, looking at the fact that we are human, we—meaning us Salafis—may be affected by some arrogance, delusion, and reliance upon the tawhid (the oneness of Allah) by which the Muslim is saved, as we mentioned earlier. So we do whatever deeds we please that do not please our Lord (Mighty and Majestic), relying upon his (peace and blessings be upon him) saying:Sahih Ibn Hibban 4:44, without remembering that this entry also has two interpretations, just as salvation from the Fire has that interpretation.
Whoever says:Sunan Abi Dawud 3116Sahih (Al-Albani)
And the second interpretation is:; that is, after he enters the Fire and receives his due from it because of what his hands have committed.
So, we should not be deluded because we have known tawhid and known the creed, and then we neglect fulfilling the right of: There is no god but Allah, which is acting in accordance with the Islam brought by him (peace and blessings be upon him).
I have been commanded to fight against people till they testify that there is no god but Allah, that Muhammad is the messenger of Allah, and they establish prayer, and pay Zakat and if they do it, their blood and property are guaranteed protection on my behalf except when justified by law, and their affairs rest with Allah.
In the hadith, there are two very important matters:
The first is that this testimony saves its owner, or at least saves its utterer, from the punishment of this world; that is, from being killed.
I have been commanded to fight the people until they bear witness to La ilaha illallah
أُمِرت أن أقاتل الناس حتى يشهدوا أن لا إله إلا اللهand their reckoning is with Allah
وحسابهم عند اللهAs for the one who wants salvation in the Hereafter as well, and not just in this world, he must fulfill its right.
So we do whatever deeds we please that do not please our Lord (Mighty and Majestic), relying upon his (peace and blessings be upon him) saying:
Whoever says: There is no god but Allah, will enter Paradise
من قال : لا إله إلا الله دخل الجنةWhoever says:
There is no god but Allah" he will enter Paradise.
لا إله إلا الله دخل الجنةAnd the second interpretation is:
enters Paradise
دخل الجنةSo, we should not be deluded because we have known tawhid and known the creed, and then we neglect fulfilling the right of: There is no god but Allah, which is acting in accordance with the Islam brought by him (peace and blessings be upon him).
