The Shaykh : ... and we seek refuge in Allah from the evils of our own souls and from the badness of our deeds. Whoever Allah guides, no one can mislead, and whoever He misleads, no one can guide. And I bear witness that there is no god but Allah alone, with no partner, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and His Messenger, [Ali 'Imran 3:102], [An-Nisa 4:1], [Al-Ahzab 33:70-71]. As for what follows:
Indeed, the best of speech is the speech of Allah, and the best of guidance is the guidance of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him and his family), and the worst of matters are their innovations, and every innovation is a religious innovation, and every religious innovation is misguidance, and every misguidance is in the Fire. And after that:
Considering that this night is the night I believe Allah (Mighty and Majestic) has decreed to be the last night we meet you in this blessed mosque, if Allah wills, I have decided not to prolong my address to you with a speech before your questions, so that many of you may have the opportunity to ask at least one question regarding what concerns you in your religion. However, it is necessary to remind you, before answering the questions, with a brief word that I mentioned in a previous session: that one of the ways of receiving knowledge that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) explained to us in his Sunnah, as an explanation of such as His saying (Blessed and Exalted is He)[An-Nahl 16:43]. In this verse, our Lord (Blessed and Exalted is He) explains to us that the Muslim community, in terms of its relationship to knowledge, is composed of two categories or types. The first type, which is the majority, are those who do not know, as He stated and made explicit in more than one verse: [Al-A'raf 7:187]. The other category are the scholars. Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He) has made obligatory upon each of the two categories a duty. He made it obligatory for the majority, who do not know, to ask the minority, who know, and He made it obligatory for those who know to answer the questions of those who do not know. He said (the Exalted): [An-Nahl 16:43]. This is a command that necessitates the obligation of the one who does not know to ask the one who knows.
O you who have believed, fear Allah as He should be feared and do not die except as Muslims [in submission to Him].
O mankind, fear your Lord, who created you from one soul and created from it its mate and dispersed from both of them many men and women. And fear Allah, through whom you ask one another, and the wombs. Indeed Allah is ever, over you, an Observer.
(70) O you who have believed, fear Allah and speak words of appropriate justice. (71) He will [then] amend for you your deeds and forgive you your sins. And whoever obeys Allah and His Messenger has certainly attained a great attainment.
So ask the people of the message if you do not know.
فَاسْأَلُوا أَهْلَ الذِّكْرِ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ لَا تَعْلَمُونَbut most of the people do not know."
So ask the people of the message if you do not know.
