The Shaykh : Now you are hearing a poem by our brother "Khalid al-Din Wanni".
Khalid al-Din Wanni:
"Hattin, the graveyard of the aggressive invaders *** and the beacon of Islam among the nations
Hattin, a miracle of heroism forever *** Hattin, a fire in the hearts of the envious
The envious one came baring his fangs at what he had *** to slaughter the children and the oppressed
The interloper came seeking our sanctity *** for the blood of the safe to flow in rivers
They carried the cross, and behind their cross marched *** all the greedy, unjust kings
They came, the cauldrons of their hatred boiling *** led by the greed of the greedy wolves
They thought the land of Sham had become their land *** so they enjoyed it and lived as rulers
They took our civilization to their homelands *** and excelled in plundering the knowledge of the ancients
What is the matter that the people's hatred has become raging *** is it because we are a people upon the clear truth?
Is it because the religion of Allah is a lamp for us *** from which we have taken every right and certainty
Or did a religion come to them without an intermediary *** between the servants and the Lord of the worshippers
A religion that fights appearance and pretense *** among people, even in the garments of the ascetics
A religion of judging by the Deity and His law *** not by the arrogant, oppressive priests
In it there is no selling of the heavens and their eternity *** with certificates of forgiveness for a people of sinners
In it there is no hierarchy and tyranny *** and guardianship and a church and men of religion
In it there is no hoarding of wealth or wasting it *** in carving a saint and a fat statue
In it there are no secrets for us to reveal *** so that they may be exploited by the skilled shepherds
Every sinner repents from his sins *** in his own soul, with no part for the intermediaries
So let the monks defend their grounds *** from a danger that threatens their rule at all times
And let them dress their followers in falsehood *** and distort the religion of the Muslims on earth
And let them raise the crosses and seek aid *** from the kings of Europe and all the dissatisfied
The Franks came, and the prince drove them *** into war as a sacrifice for the hatred of the ascetics
Every year a campaign and armies that deceived *** so they came killing and destroying
They plundered our mosques, in which was our knowledge *** and they rebelled and ravaged the lands, corrupting
They thought the winds would sail according to their sails *** and they imagined that we would remain divided
They did not know that the unity of our hearts *** is by the religion, by Islam, by the firm rope
They thought Saladin came for gain *** or that he was one of the ambitious kings
They did not know that certainty was his weapon *** and his goal was pleasing the Lord of the worlds
Nothing drove him but his Islam *** and Allah was his protector and the best of supporters
They had not seen before Yusuf the bold one *** he is the son of Ayyub, the leader of the patient
Rather, Hattin had not seen before its victory *** a lion that shakes the host of the colonizers
This is a son of Islam, his root is ancient *** so the religion is the gatherer of all the believers
By the religion he called, and responded to his command *** all the peoples, the believers, the sincere
Nothing stopped the crosses from their aggression *** except the swords of the sincere Muslims
The plotting against Islam does not end *** so... the aggression in al-Aqsa is a pair
And behind them are the states of the cross supporting them *** with the means of aggression and the settlers
So the heat of Peter's wars was not lessened *** by the turning of nights and hundreds of years
And the betrayal of Zionism came as a link *** to the tails of a gang of conspirators
And the betrayal of al-Haddad in our Lebanon *** is a symbol of brotherhood among all the traitors
Nothing returned al-Quds al-Sharif to its people *** except Saladin, the pride of the conquerors
Nothing saves the usurped except a leader *** in whom is the strength of the first ones from Islam
Al-Aqsa and the cradle of our Messiah will not return *** except by the hands of the pious Muslims
So that Isa may return to the cross, smashing it *** and renew Islam, the religion of the messengers."
