A poem on the creed of the people of the Sunnah, recited by "Khalid al-Din Wani."

Khalid al-Din Wani:
"My brother in creed and thought, *** my brother in what is clarified by the Sunnah,
the path of the Companions and their followers, *** and of those who attained excellence and high aspiration,
I would sacrifice myself for you as you bear its burdens, *** I would sacrifice myself for you as you eradicate religious innovation,
and you repair in people what they have corrupted, *** and you revive the dead matters of the religion,
so magnify your methodology with a methodology, *** and honor your party with a sect,
for you are the light in its corners, *** for Allah has singled you out for the call,
you ward off the enemies of the religion, *** and you uproot shirk (associating partners with Allah) in the ummah (the Muslim community),
the Lord of the heavens is exalted, He has no partner *** in weakness or humiliation,
to Him belongs every attribute that befits Him, *** from the Face, the Eye, and the rising above the Throne,
the attributes of the Divine as they were revealed, *** by them was removed what was of darkness,
so creation does not baffle His command, *** nor do they escape from the grip,
and all are submissive to Him by force, *** the All-Powerful who is unique in power,
and all acts of worship are true for Him, *** and whoever deviates plunges into the abyss,
my brother, you Salafi (a follower of the Salaf) who *** face narrowness and harshness,
I would sacrifice myself for you as you are steadfast and patient, *** and one like you is patient in the trial,
you were patient with the treachery of their treacherous ones, *** and you met what was with a smile,
you mocked the harm they plotted, *** and you were at war in life and sustenance,
so its steel did not soften for you, *** and hardship did not affect the aspiration,
you stood alone, but He *** your Lord assists you in solitude,
it is Allah who supports His supporters, *** so your resolve is from the One of resolve,
my Lord will open the way, so do not be despondent, *** wait, for victory is not by speed,
for you are a guide to our ummah (the Muslim community), *** and its helmsman, the leader of the rudder,
so if you are few among them, *** victory is not secured by multitude,
for Allah supported our predecessors *** with a small army and few provisions,
it is victory that the Lord of the heavens gives *** to whom He wills, and Allah is the One of might,
and if you die in it a martyr, you succeed, *** and your Lord settles you in Paradise,
they think that they have submitted outwardly, *** and performed the obligatory acts rarely,
and their creeds were barren, *** and their morals were the height of harshness,
so the wealthy one does not show mercy to the suffering, *** nor does the strong one show mercy to the weak,
nor does the neighbor protect his neighbors, *** nor does the one with support support the truth,
nor does the one with knowledge live by it, *** and most learning is by example,
how many innovations they have beautified and flourished, *** among people with ignorance and heedlessness,
and by revelation how many worshippers they have misled, *** and they sold the Shari'ah (Islamic sacred law) for youth,
if their scholar is ignorant, *** how is the imitator (one who follows a scholar without knowing his evidence) to be an example,
in Your mercy, O my Lord, be gentle with us, *** for You are the Subtle and the One of wisdom,
my brother, you are alone in an ummah (the Muslim community) *** that has abandoned the religion in general,
upon you, my brother, is to restore to them *** the purity of creed and thought,
and to save people from their shirk (associating partners with Allah), *** from vows to the grave and the dead,
and to turn people away from their oaths *** by a noble person and by the covenant,
and from calling out "O Abu Qasim, *** help us" and invoking him in distress,
and from writing horoscopes or claiming *** secrets of the unseen by the stars,
and from seeking aid from their poles, *** and from tying themselves to the chamber,
and from their visitors rubbing themselves *** against a grave, and the one with ...
and from people following their sheikhs *** without evidence or proof,
and from people taking their rulings *** without a Book or Sunnah,
and from judging without returning *** to what Allah has revealed of wisdom,
my brother, you bear what you cannot bear, *** the mountains from the burden,
so rejoice, brother of the religion, do not be despondent, *** I would sacrifice myself for you with my soul and spirit,
and the God of the heavens will not abandon *** the religion, so rejoice, my brothers."
